Pause a website while it's being rebuilt, moved to a new host or taken down on purpose. Nobody gets alerts, and its history stays.
Pause and resume
- On the Dashboard, find the website in the list.
- Click the pause button (two bars) at the end of its row. It shows Paused.
- To start again, click the play button in the same place. We check it straight away.
Good to know
- An outage in progress ends when you pause, so it doesn't keep growing in your reports.
- No "recovered" email is sent when you resume.
- A paused website still counts toward your plan's website limit. Remove it instead (the bin button) if you don't need it any more; that deletes its history.
- Only the account owner and admins can pause, resume or remove websites.
